Tom Bohn
Tom Bohn, CEO of Inman and host of Noise vs. Signal, a podcast from Inman News focused on straight talk with the people actually shaping real estate right now: what's working, what's breaking, and where the industry is headed. The format is intentionally off the cuff. No scripts, no softballs, just a real conversation that gives listeners something worth hearing.
Thomas M. Bohn is the Chief Executive Officer of Inman, the most trusted source of independent news, intelligence, and community for the residential real estate industry. Under his leadership, Inman is sharpening its position as the operating system for real estate professionals, expanding from a news and events company into a multi-platform intelligence business serving brokers, agents, executives, and the proptech ecosystem.
Since taking the helm, Tom has driven a clear mandate: stabilize the core, fund the future. That has meant reinvesting in Inman Select, the subscription product at the heart of the company, while modernizing the Inman Connect event franchise, deepening enterprise relationships with the industry's largest brands, and building new revenue lines in data, podcasts, and audience products. His vision for Inman is straightforward and ambitious: become the indispensable daily habit for every serious real estate professional in North America.
Tom brings more than two decades of experience leading media, events, and membership-driven businesses, with a track record of scaling organizations through periods of transformation. Before joining Inman, he served as CEO of THM Media, where he led the company's expansion to more than 70 markets across 30 states, building one of the largest networks of community-focused B2B media properties in the country.
Prior to THM Media, Tom was President and CEO of ACG Global, the world's leading association for middle-market M&A and private equity professionals, representing more than 90,000 members across 60 chapters worldwide. He led ACG through the disruption of the pandemic, accelerating digital transformation, restructuring the chapter model, and repositioning the organization for the next decade of growth in the middle-market deal economy.
Before ACG, Tom spent six years as CEO of the North American Veterinary Community (NAVC), where he engineered one of the most significant growth stories in association media. During his tenure, NAVC's revenue grew from $11 million to $26 million, the staff expanded from 22 to 80, and VMX, the organization's flagship conference, became the largest veterinary event in the world with more than 22,000 attendees. He also launched VetFolio, a leading online education platform for the profession, and founded the Veterinary Innovation Council to drive industry-wide modernization.
Across every role, Tom has operated at the intersection of media, events, data, and community, building businesses that turn audiences into durable, monetizable relationships. He is fluent in the language of operators and investors alike, with deep experience in subscription economics, event strategy, enterprise partnerships, and the unit economics of media businesses.
Tom holds a BA and an MBA from the University of Central Florida and is a Certified Association Executive (CAE). He and his wife co-own The Fort Pilates, a boutique pilates and wellness studio in Fort Myers, Florida, where he lives with his family. An avid home gardener and self-described curious generalist, Tom is the father of a son and two dogs.
